Steve Vincent – Director of Tennis

Steve Vincent is responsible for co-ordinating the Rainford Tennis programme and delivers sessions at the Club, the Spinney Park, Rainford High School and the primary schools in the area.

Steve has many years experience coaching tennis in clubs, schools and parks across the country and worked at David Lloyd Knowsley before joining Rainford in 2005.

Steve delivers tennis coaching in primary and secondary schools across the St Helens area, introducing hundreds of children to tennis each year. Steve is a qualified coach with both LTA, PTR and RPT and holds a full Coaching Licence and is available for individual lessons and video analysis coaching sessions.

Sam Jalloh is a former professional tennis player, who competed on the ATP World Tour and has represented his home country of Sierra Leone in Davis Cup and at the All African Games. He is also the founder of the Max & Sam Tennis Foundation.

Sam is now a qualified coach with both LTA and PTR and holds a full Coaching Licence and has experience of coaching international standard junior players both in this country and abroad. 

Sam joined Rainford Tennis in 2009 and now leads the coaching programme at the Club, including junior and adult groups and individual lessons.

Conor Porteus officially became Assistant Coach of the Rainford Tennis programme in February 2011.

Conor has completed his Level 1 Coaching Assistant course and is an LTA Registered Coach and supports the delivery of coaching sessions at the Jubilee Recreation Ground and the Spinney Park.

Conor has several years experience of coaching having completed his Tennis Leaders Award at Rainford High Technology College in 2010.  He will take his Level 2 Coaching Assistant course in summer 2011.
