Sponsor Ali Shimmin and Chris Pye in the 2023 Leeds Marathon
(May 01, 2023)Rainford Tennis Club members Chris Pye and Ali Shimmin are running the Leeds Marathon on Sunday 14th May to raise money for charity.
Ali is supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat.
Chris is running to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support who are there to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. They do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, they will listen and support them however they need to.
