Victory for Rainford High School Tennis Team
(July 05, 2018)Congratulations to the Year 7/8 Girls Tennis Team from Rainford High School who were recently crowned winners of the Lancashire Schools Team Tennis after beating St.Michael's CE High School of Chorley in the final held at Rainford Tennis Club.
This was the first year Rainford High had ever entered the schools competition and defeated some very strong schools along the way including Merchant Taylors, AKS Lytham and Formby High School. The girls were a credit to the school showing great effort and determination as well as an extremely high standard of performance throughout the competition. They now progress onto the Northern Finals in Leeds to be played in October.
"Well done to all the players" said Mr Allen from Rainford High School. Also, a massive thank you to Rainford Tennis Club who very kindly allowed us to play our home matches at the club and continue to support the school via its coaching programme and use of the club facilities."
