Rainford's Picnic In The Park postponed until 2021
(May 22, 2020)Rainford's Picnic In The Park festival will not be taking place in 2020 and has been postponed until next year. Please read below the statement from the volunteer organisers:
We are sorry to inform you of the postponement of Picnic in the Park 2020. We put a great deal of effort in rearranging the original date from the 6th June to the 18th July and have held out as long as possible for a possible change in Government instructions so we could go ahead with the Festival.
Unfortunately, we’ve now reached the stage of having to postpone the Festival until next year. Our greatest concern is for the safety of all, and if we are to follow Government guidance, we really have no other option. We’d like to thank you for bearing with us during this very difficult period.
We are thrilled to announce that From the Jam will again headline the festival on Saturday 12th June 2021 along with the supporting acts from 2020. We wish to thank From the Jam and their team for continuing to support our Festival.
The tickets you have purchased will remain valid for 2021. We are a fundraising event for the Village and would greatly appreciate you keeping your tickets for next year. All the organisers of the Picnic are volunteers and this would be a huge help as we head through this difficult period and rebuild for 2021! If you wish to purchase any additional wristbands you have until 1st October to do so at this year’s prices, we plan on a small increase in prices for new wristband bought after this date.
We will keep you informed via our website and Facebook with details as we work towards a fabulous Festival in 2021 with the magnificent From The Jam.
