Sarah Hillier appointed as our new Head Coach
(March 10, 2021)Rainford Tennis Club are delighted to announce that we have appointed Sarah Hillier as our new Head Coach.
Sarah, who lives in the village, is a fully qualified, LTA Accredited Level 3 Coach and qualified tournament referee with many years’ experience coaching at indoor and outdoor venues across the North of England. Sarah is also County Tennis Co-ordinator for Tennis Lancashire and is the coach for the Lancashire 10 & Under Girls Team, who were crowned national champions in 2017.
Following an open recruitment process and interviews, Sarah has been chosen to be the focal point for all coaching activities at the Club and is now responsible for the off-court management, on-court delivery and promotion of our community tennis programme providing opportunities for players of all ages and standards, both members and non-members.
Our tennis coaching programme will re-start for the 2021 season on Saturday 3rd April and members and non-members can book onto the sessions now on the Coaching page of our website. All sessions will be run on a pay-and-play basis, which means you don't have to pay for sessions that you cannot attend or that are cancelled due to bad weather.
