Green Army girls win in Widnes
(August 24, 2013)There were two winners from Rainford Tennis Club at this week’s Widnes Tennis Open as both Maisie Lavelle and Erin Scott were victorious in their junior events.
Maisie won the 10 & Under Girls Singles reached the final without dropping a set and finished off with a 4-1 4-1 win in the final against top seed Amber Thoms from Cheshire.

The following day Erin Scott lifted the 9 & Under Girls Singles trophy with a three set victory over Jasmin Bromilow in the final of the competition, which took place at the Widnes Tennis Academy. Phoebe Mitchell from Rainford also reached the semi-final in the same event.
